ACSA's Annual Distillers' Convention & Vendor Trade Show
Developed for the community of craft spirits producers, the ACSA Distillers’ Convention and Vendor Trade Show brings together distillers and suppliers to harness the energy of the industry. In the past years, ACSA has educated 1000s to strengthen the safety and prosperity of the trade and has provided a platform to network and explore products and services from our suppliers.
You will be able to find our team on booth 623.
We will be giving a presentation: “Not Just Another Fad Diet: Why nutrition is so important for healthy fermentations and spirit quality”. In this talk, we will break down how and why nutrition means so much to making a quality spirit. We will focus heavily on agave spirits since this popular new category is very nutrient deprived and traditionally quite difficult. However, we will also look at single malts, bourbons and rums as examples and show how impactful catering to the biology can be in these fermentations as well.
We will also be sponsoring the Distillery Start Up 101 events that include a pre-convention class and exclusive happy hour!

The Alcohol School
The Alcohol School has been educating fuel ethanol and distilled spirits producers in the multidisciplinary sciences of alcohol production. The course is designed to provide our delegates with detailed information on fuel ethanol and distilled spirits unit processes. Separate sessions for fuel and distilled spirits concepts are held, but where the technologies overlap, sessions are done with both groups together. The programs are designed for lab, plant, and management personnel and are organized around lectures, laboratory demonstrations, seminars, and lab visits. Our course is also appropriate for suppliers and government personnel to provide understanding and training.

SIEBEL Institute - Craft Distilling and Operations Technology course
The Siebel Institute Craft Distilling Operations and Technology course is designed to give students the critical information they need to create distilled spirits in a small-scale distillation environment and understand the underlying issues involved with starting a distilling business.
Students will learn the theory behind working successfully in small distillery operations as well as related management and logistical issues. With content created with participation by the Ethanol Technology Institute and presented by some of the leading international experts in distilling, this course will give you the training you need to operate your distillery efficiently, safely, and profitably. During the five-days of the course, you will learn production techniques involved in distillation from grain, fruit and other products from start to finish. Sensory analysis is presented towards building an understanding of the positive and negative flavor attributes commonly associated with the production process, and visits to area distilleries give students a view of the basic operations of a small distillery.
If you are considering entering this quickly-growing segment of the distilled spirits industry, the Craft Distilling Operations and Technology course will give you a foundation of understanding on which you can build a successful career in craft distilling.

The fair is focused on bringing together technology providers, equipment and component manufacturers. Other sectors that will benefit from the event include raw material suppliers, brewers, winemakers and distillers as well as distributors and retailers.
New technologies and raw materials are waiting in the wings to assist with innovating products and also pioneering methods will drive efficiency and sustainability in alcohol manufacturing.
Smart technologies such as Augmented Reality, Blockchain, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence are already at play to improve production, reduce costs, spur innovation and enhance consumer experience.
