Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits is proud to have sponsored and taken part in the first annual Artisan Distiller’s Canada conference in Vancouver, BC this past month (October 2022).
The Monday prior to the conference, Annick Mercier, Mitch Codd and Haley Churchill hosted a fermentation focused workshop at Copperpenny Distilling for an audience for 30+ Canadian distillers. Here, they detailed aspects of yeast production, highlighted the importance of yeast selection, discussed the role of bacteria in fermentation and conducted a tasting focused on Canadian products created with various feedstocks.
Annick later presented on optimizing quality, efficiency, and profitability through the lens of fermentation.
The event sparked great discussion and questions amongst attendees and exhibitors alike. We look forward to continuing to discuss best practices and new ideas with our new contacts and customers.
